| Hey guys, I've seen two games this year and a couple over the last few, this years games have been day light games and I've been able to notice the big block at one of the ends of the stadium a lot more than night games and the amount of people who manage to get a spot up there.
Is it a block of housing flats where the people living in them get to see the games for free with their mates or is it part of the stadium in some weird form?
I'm thinking if it housing it has to be the best stadium location going around (from a freebie point of veiw) and if it's not, what the hell is it and does it have anything to do with the Salford red devil RL club as each time I've seen games on TV, there's been plenty of people having a beer and a good time watching the footy.
Cheers.
Btw, if it's housing, it'd be the best place ever to live for live sport

| Has wakefield always been like that?
I watched this sporting life and it didn't look anything like it.
looks like a bunch of flates at one end of the pitch.
Sorry about the salford part btw.

| Thanks, I've seen a few games lately (lol not salford games) and it looks like the guys in the "flats" have the best view and the best ticket in town.
That ground in the movie looked like it could hold 40,000, how much has it changed?

| So the Salford thing has gone, *I should change the title*, it'd be like you guys comparing Belmore the Cumberland.
Forgetting that though.
Has wakefield got a latent support, growing up in aus I heard of the two hull sides, wigan, Leeds, and Bradford, but wakefield was always mentioned in the background, has the club got support there that is dormant and will it come out with a new ground?
edit, widnes was always a big name too.

We would like to think so if we can get them out of the locals Pubs & with a NEW stadium on its way we will have a lovely new ground just like Wigan & Hull FC & Hudds

Good luck mate, I hope it all works out.
Would you consider them a sleeping giant of RL?

True sadly, but you can hear the players thunder past, hear every tackle and smell the blood sweat and tears (yes even above the old toilets) the old girls past it but will be sadly missed by many.
Oh and the beers flat too.

You could say that really,Wakefield of the 1960's were the St helens/Leeds/Wigan of this day,& hopefully will again, A lot of fans do forget over here what there stadiums were like before there got there new ones but where thick skinned at wakey especially after what we've been through these last couple of years.

Would you have got big crowds then? Do the 'flats' generate a lot of revenue?
