| More than 24 hours on and I'm still feeling terrible about the result.
The worst thing is that we should have been out of sight and in the final without having to worry about the last minute. Even with a few mins to go Ryan Hall juggles an interception and has a chance to go the full length of the field.
Iin the past against top teams we have been hanging on and desperate and eventually couldn't hold it together. This time we controlled the game and defended well , made good breaks kept attacking and didn't resort to one up rugby. That's why it was so desperate at the end . We should have been playing the Aussies for the World Cup next week - and IMO with a good chance if beating them . Absolutely gutted . Still .

| Yep its the most gutted I have felt since the 92 final when we got very close to lifting the trophy.
the worst thing is that this time I think we would have gone into that final with more than a decent chance of winning.70k english fans on the back of yesterdays performance would have given us the edge imo.very happy with yesterdays performance but still feeling its a great opportunity missed that may not present itself again for a generation.

| That game was ridiculous. The skill level from both teams was off the planet and the tension cannot be described. England were the best team, but you knew there was a twist in the tale. The best advert ever for the greatest game!!

| I'm quite up beat. To be honest my biggest worry is the gap between that game and the next international on English soil.
Union has the 6 nations each year, we could lose momentum as France or Wales will not bring in the punters the same.
But longer term we should be in the running for the next 4 nations. The pack will remain pretty much the same and the backs will get better.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| It's properly heartbraking and will take a long time to get over. I've spent the last day trying to analyse where it went wrong and what could have been done differently, but it won't change the result. The players must be pig sick.

| The last 2 minutes just keep playing over in my head. Its ridiculous. Ive never been like this over a game of rugby before. I could weep, and I feel desperately sorry for the players. In my rugby watching life ive never seen an international game as good as that, and ive never seen a better England team.
In a few days ill realise what an amazing spectacle it was, and be proud to have been there despite the last 20 seconds...but not yet.

| Just watched the replay and it's not helped. It's the chances we have to kill it that's the heartbreaker. The Westwood chance were he's about an inch short of getting it down and the Hall juggle are the big two that stick out and even watching the replay I still hope that I see them finish then off but to no avail. They were both great efforts and as per usual we just seemed to lack that bit of luck.
The majority of the team yesterday didn't deserve that. To lose it like that has gutted me like no other defeat before. I've seen Wigan rugby do the double this year and was at the FA cup final to see Wigan Athletic shock the world but I'd trade it all for a win yesterday. I want nothing more then a major trophy fir the England rugby league team. I want us to have our moment in the sun and pinch a big game that that yesterday.
One day it'll happen, it has to happen. One thing is for sure I'll keep turning out for these games. I've seen too many defeats to not see the glory moment.

Well said, agree entirely. Especially the Hall moment, he did the exact same thing against Manly last year but managed to keep hold and went the length of the field, I think remembering that somehow makes it even worse.
Oh and I'd definitely trade Wigan's double for a win yesterday
