In less than a weeks time, one of the game's greatest ever players will hang up his boots for the last time. Does he deserve his own thread? I think so. Any specific memories of one of the game's greats? Please post them here...

As much as I enjoy the idea of getting one over the Aussies, I'm going to be extremely sad to see him leave the game. There's not many players that can master two positions in any sport, I think he managed to master two; Full Back and Stand Off.

Even two weeks ago at 35, every time he got the ball in England's 20m you just knew the 'Roos were going to score...and they did!

Modern Day Legend! I'll be gutted when he retires. The game will be poorer!

Cant beleive I get the oppurtunity to watch his final ever game in the flesh. A true great and makes the game look so easy, which is testament to his ability.

Regardless of the result next week, I will be standing to applaud him off the field. A true great of rugby league.

Bumped into the great man (literally) in Walkabout in Manchester last night. He was wandering around a little worse for wear and disappeared back to the hotel - definitely had a skinful.

He was out on the beers with Tony Williams, Sean Long and a few others. Williams is certainly a big lad, he set the record score on the punch machine and made 'friends' with an enthusiastic local girl.

Sad to see the husky-voiced legend retire, outstanding career and great ambassador.

I hope he stays on the booze all week.

I'll show any form of appreciation after the final thank you.

Best player i've ever seen and the reason we booked our final tickets before we knew England were there. We should all stay and clap him off the pitch, rather than trying to get home 5 mins early.
