| What a talent this kid is. From a standing start he produced foot work of the highest quality to make the best defence in SL look amateurish. All season i thought it should be Brough for the No.7 shirt. I thought it was a season too soon to have Lomax starting this 4n. But his perfromance today is world class. Widdop & Lomax 6 & 7 combination could be very exciting. Although with Mcnamara in charge he will probably choose Myler ahead of Brough and Lomax. Nothing against the kid, but he's just a good player in an outstanding team. Lomax and Brough & Widdop are streets ahead of him. Myler showed his lack of quality against the Exiles. I honestly think this is the strongest England team we have had for a while, Tomkins, Briscoe, Roby, Widdop, Brough, Lomax. Just shame don't have much faith in the coach.

| Id start with Brough at 7 with Lomax on the bench against France and Wales. Give them both a chance to make a stake for the shirt against Aus at Wembley. Both have different things to offer, but personally I feel Brough's kicking game is what England need most. We have others that are good in broken play and creating something out of nothing.

So. Not seen Myler do it against any team this year. You cant deny the kids got class. Tough decision to choose between him Brough, and Widdop

I don't know how anyone can fail to see the quality Lomax has. He's an out and out better player than Myler at this stage. Myler plays for a team that has been steamrollering sides all season. It makes it far easier for a halfback when the opposition is quivering in fright most weeks.
As for him playing for England, I don't think he can unless he plays with someone with a kicking game. His running is great, but he lacks a kicking game. Why not Lomax 6 Brough 7? I don't really see any outstanding players in the hunt for the 6 shirt. Widdop is probably the leading choice.

| If you're selecting on form then Brough would not be anywhere near the first choice scrum half

| I said a while back that Lomax should be considered for England.
I was laughed at. Look at him now....

| What did he do to get a warning from the ref after his try?

| If England can't kick effectively on the last tackle, consequently gifting Australia sets on the half way line, we won't even get close. Saints' defense (including Lomax's) was brilliant today, but how many sets in our half did Lomax gift Wigan in the second half? That is not to say he wasn't superb in all other aspects.

My thoughts too, but isn't Widdop a pretty decent kicker?? He's also been outstandign in the NRL by all accounts. Nice to have these debates for a change. It would take a lot for Brough not to be there, but Lomax is certainly something special.. I really think we should be challenging for the 4N this year. I think we have got a squad with depth.

7.Lomax
Would be pretty good but maybe it's a bit too soon for Lomax.
