Does anyone know how ticket sales are going for the international double header at Wembley?

None.

Looking at the Hull game against New Zealand today and you can buy pretty much any number of tickets in any area of the ground. Doesn't seem like it's the hottest event in town.

Wembley will be circa 30k ish I would think. The lack of realism in an England series win just puts the majority off. If we had a great side with a chance of winning, it would be full.

Over 15,000 tickets have already been purchased since the offer was initially unveiled a fortnight ago allowing fans to watch some of the best players in the world clash at Wembley stadium for only £10 on Saturday, November 5. The Wembley double-header will see Wales take on New Zealand at 1pm before England face up to fierce rivals Australia at 3.30pm in the national stadium.

sell out the lower tier...then we can start selling the club wembley tier,as its not included in the 'club wembley package' but i think they get first option?..so thats another 18,000 seats available to us potentially..


selling the tiers as we need them is a very sensible thing to do

If there was a lack of realism then Wembley would be packed full fans expecting us to put 60 on the Aussies

God forbid that in your fervour to type something negative you would actually stop and think about whether what you are saying actually makes sense

Policing the internet for the calibre of written English is one of the least impressive personal traits you can have.

And on the subject in hand, am I not right? Are you wildly optimistic of a 50,000 crowd? The RFL only put the lower tier up for sale because it will make it cheaper. Even they aren't expecting a big crowd for this.

And on the subject in question – I expect 50,000 to 60,000 which will be a success and create a great atmosphere and be a real showcase for International Rugby League

I have bought tickets to the Wembley double header, having not been to London in a while, we are arriving at London Kings Cross, is it best to book tickets in advance to get to Wembley via Kings Cross or is the Oyster Card the best option?

and we only have to get near 44k for it to be considered a success.....as 44k is the 4nations attendance record...so if the aussies can only manage 44k why should expectations be any greater up here??.....the aussies would'nt dream of taking a game to the aussie olympic stadium so instead of bitching about it get behind it and support the idea

Depends how long you are staying. Just get a day travelcard if thats all you need.

Btw, how much was your train tickets. I picked some up for £22 return. Add on £10 for admission to the national stadium for two matches featuring the best players in the world. Bargain! Can't understand why people are not interested. No doubt they'll watch it on TV though...

What time are the Kick offs?

Can understand why people wont be able to get there, but its a shame that so many are being as pessimistic as they are.

go to a magic shop, buy a magicians wand, take the little chip out of the oyster card, stick it onto the end of the wand. then you can use magic to gain access to tube stations its one way to make the hellish journey across london enjoyable.
