I'm not sure about Virgin unfortunately. I get Premier Sports via my Sky box. Either way, don't forget to play the system with these pay TV companies; I'm in the middle of a completely free 3 months with Premier following my most recent phone call giving notice to cancel. (Good thing really as I don't watch anything at all on Premier in the RL off-season (apart from the odd re-run of NRL matches from 2014 that they put on over the winter). Even if you do have to actually cancel at the end of a special deal period, they always then come back to you in a fairly short space of time with their best offer. You can get Premier just over the Internet on subscription if you don't mind watching your rugby on a computer screen!

Got to be honest, I'm still not sure I can tell the difference between HD and SD. Certainly not to the point that I would bother paying for the privilege.

Then given your username, I'd suggest that you follow the old maxim 'physician, heal thyself,' as there's clearly something wrong with your eyes.

There's a world of difference between SD and HD and it's something I've moaned about in respect of Premier Sports for a good while; it's about time they sorted it out.

HD is only really noticeable on larger screens. On 32" and lower there isn't much difference (well not so much that it is worth paying extra for). I can see the difference on my TV but only because it is a large screen tv.

I think there's a big difference, especially with sport. I can tell a huge difference on the 37" tv in my front room but can also tell a decent difference on the 19" tv I have in the bedroom.
Whether it's worth paying extra for is entirely down to the individual and their situation.
