| Got a right pasting by Wakey today....doesn't seem 2 minutes ago they were undefeated and sat on top of the league.
What's gone wrong there? is it a case of the lack of coaching experience catching up with Powell or the players not performing as well as they did for the 1st month?
hopefully Quins fans can shed some light

| Early season games are always less predictable, and anyone can beat Leeds these days under McDermott. We're a lower half team and we'll probably lose more than we win over the course of the season. No great surprise. But the biggest change has been our defensive intensity, we haven't been able to keep it up for some reason.

| I think it's a couple of things :
1) Quins are fielding several hundred thousand pounds less player every game than most sides. Most of the time, in RL, that statistic alone can predict the outcome. In terms of their squad quality, you'd say they were a bottom half team, and over the season, give or take a few shock results, that's probably what will pan out, although bottom half can still qualify for 8th place.
2) Some results shouldn't have too much read into them, like Quins v Bradford. Games can go either way, and just because they go one way a couple of weeks in succession doesn't make them a trend (yet).
3) This year, the SL genuinely does seem to be taking longer to settle down than normal, with some serious shocks (Catalans beating Wigan and Wire, Cas sitting at the top, Saints looking awful at the start but now seeming strong). More teams than normal seem to be erratic.
I think we're looking, at the moment, at the competition we've always said we wanted - any team can beat any other on a given day. I'm sure that by the end of the season we'll see a little more predictability as squad strength and experience takes effect, but I don't think any team should be panicking yet.

There are only 2 certainties in this life.
1. Death
2. Harlequins playing badly.

Hardly the case today was it. Generally I agree but today they played a Trinity pack missing it's only two experienced props (not suggesting they are especially good but all the same). A team of kids and no hopers written off by everyone.
Frankly they are what they have always been a mercenary team with no real passion. I'm sure I'll be shot down for this but year after year they remain a protected species yet do very little to deserve it. Yet the same excuses you give are trotted out, they need more time.
Well we are not being given any more time and rightly so, we have not delivered a stadium. Well so have london because they are yet to provide a viable club after 15 years, time is up you have had your chance IMO.

In fairness, most of the overseas 'stars' who've pitched up at Belle Vue since 1999 have been mercenaries with no real passion for the club. Most rugby league players are, it's their job.

I meant passion for the British game in general, but your point is fair. What I'm waiting to see is this promised flood of London raised talent that will swing it for them.
One thing is for certain I'm not holding Trinity up as a shining light but then we are not a protected club.

I love it ! A professional sports team being called mercenary. By a Wakefield fan. You can't make this stuff up. Classic material. For a minute, I thought you were being serious till I realised it must have been a joke, because only someone with slurry between his ears could actually be serious about that post. Good effort.

SKY showed our entire gameplan printed out and put up on the dressing room wall against Huddersfield. Was in small print but the SKY cameras zoomed in and we've been found out defensively ever since.
We shouldn't finish bottom but our roster definitely has us as a lower third SL team, but the game is not won on paper as Wakefield showed today.

It's not that I dislike Quins.
I just can't see why they are in Superleague.

Because they've not finished in the relegation places.
