| He clearly thought that Leeds were being watched more by the ref (and so penalised) than Cas were.
You can disagree with that if you want but it's pretty simple to understand what he meant.

| Childs certainly have some unusual penalties against them when Cas clearly just dropped the ball.
However, he also allowed their try after Hardaker had knocked on and disallowed a Cas try for a forward pass that looked fine.
I think he needs to look at his own players rather than blame the ref, particularly Ablett who managed to concede a penalty whilst in possession of the ball on the Cas line.
The way he phrased his comment was also very odd - he is complaining that the referee is watching the game? Isn't that what the referee is meant to do?

Spot on , in truth he should be invited to Red Hall to explain his comments

| You could analyse every single decision made in that game last night and the outcome would be that he was poor for both sides.
Zak knocked on prior to a Leeds try yes, but the ball came out of Websters hands forward to him so it would have been our ball anyway.
Cas first try was preceded by an obstruction the previous play which wasnt picked up. Yet Child penalised the same thing later in the game.
There were no forward passes in the lead up to Briscoes try i thought, but Cas disallowed try wasnt forward either, if anything it went straight up in the air.
Prior to the McShane Ablett blow up Cas shouldve been penalised for laying on, wasting time after we made the break, McShane worked the niggle and Child fell for it.
Fact is Child is a poor, poor referee and my heart sinks whenever i see his name anywhere near a Leeds game.

| Is he was even for both teams why do you care? Obviously he isn't going to get every single call right but it probably didn't make a difference to the outcome of the game so who cares?

I thought he said something along the lines of, "not by the referee" but by the powers that be.
Whatever or whoever it was aimed at, it did appear pretty strange to come out with that.

Child has the unerring ability to turn a good game average and an average one cr4p.
You really really don't want him reffing a game when the weather is poor. His reluctance to penalise offsides and holding down/interference can make for a very rubbish game in poor weather.

| The thing with child is in the first 10 minutes of each half he penalises everything and anything. I presume to 'stamp his authority' Then as the game continues he lets things go that he's previously penalised.
I would imagine the powers that be were watching very carefully as since "faggate" child has barely set foot at headingley!
