What stood out for me is he is only here because his move to Union fell through.
In truth I doubt any SL club is the 1st choice for an aspiring NRL player. It's more borne from necessity. |

Looks like the sort of player we all knew we lacked when we lost Nicholson and Bateman, and replaced only with Russell. It seems to be a pre-set plan to make this sort of signing mid-season. I've not been massively impressed with Stone yet - one or two good touches in matches but you forget he is there for long periods. |

Another back rower? How many do we actually need? We need props or a centre. Reeks of another panic signing . Our season is finished, surely it would be better to give one of the academy lads a run out?

Good player from what Ive seen so should be another improvement on the squad for the rest of the season ( and hopefully he performs well enough that we try to negotiate a release from the remainder of his contract with Paramatta )
So assume we are running now with a front row/rotation of Vaughan/Yates/Philbin + 1 other ( if we havent got Harrison and Sam isnt going to use an inexperienced player such as Max Wood ) then Id be playing Fitzgibbon off the bench as a repl front row forward ( or even both Wood and Fitz on the bench )
Back row of Matterson, Stone/Fitzgibbon and Currie
Now, could we start playing the flowing rugby that we saw last year ... PLEASE
