| Presumably one of the reasons given in favour of these proposals is that it will (should) encourage clubs to strive to improve their ground facilities, attendances, finances, performance on the field and thus earn more points. If, as stated, the top tier will be filled with all the category A clubs with 15 points or higher, is it possible , over time, for more than 12 clubs to reach that magic number 15? If not, what’s the point of clubs trying their hardest to improve? The wording “with the remaining spots going to the best performing category B teams” on the BBC website assumes that less than 12 clubs will reach 15 points for the 2025 season. Perhaps with five points available for performances over three years, it’s not possible for more than 12 clubs to qualify.

Even if they finish bottom I can't see them going down with Featherstone likely to win the Championship.
I think it's highly likely their promotion will be blocked as they've lost control of the crowd. There'll be nowhere in the IMG proposals for racist chanting, fighting and throwing things at coaches.

| Quote Tigerade="Tigerade"We (Tigers) are in the process of waiting for a local council planning meeting to determine an upgrade of The Jungle in the region of £12 million. This decision will happen after the local elections. We also have a government grant of £2 million sat in the bank.
I was surprised though that in the grading formula, facilities didn't rate as high as expected. I was also surprised that there wasn't a part of the formula that mentioned stadium ownership.'"

Add to that list an owner who regularly offers out rival fans and Fev in SL would be a disaster.

I’d love to see Fev in SL just to see what other fans think when they go through what the Champ fans have over the past fee years. Can see it now. Opening game of SL 2024. FEV vs CAS. Home fans shouting abuse. Numerous Sky Sports apologies.

Why? I fail to see how encouraging clubs to develop and improve on and off the field can be considered a bad thing? If Keighley want to be in Super League, invest in the club and develop the stadium and the fan base and win the Championship. Or don't, they'd be able to get up even without winning it if they improve as a club. The likes of Cas, Wakefield, Featherstone aren't going to bother, so plenty of opportunity for clubs like York, Keighley and Toulouse to replace them. We're likely never going to get to 12 category A sides, so the sporting integrity element Keighley are crying about so much will still be there. No category A side is going to finish bottom, so them being protected is irrelevant and there will never be 12 A sides. If there are then it'll prove IMGs proposals have been an incredible success. There aren't any more than a handful of A class sides currently.

Stop the world. I need to get off. I agree 110% with Saddo.
This isn't a closed shop like people seem to think it is. If a grade B side such as Fev wins the Champ and a grade B side such as Wakey finishes bottom of SL then they'll swap places. I appreciate that a grade C side could win the Champ but the chances are rather minimal.
Keighley are literally nowhere near SL as it is and would need to do all of the things on the list before they even have a chance anyway, so what are they actually complaining about?
The sport has been held back by certain clubs (all on the same side of the Pennines) for too long and provided they stick with it and don't take false promises like the last time (Crusaders success plus stadium development plans that still haven't happened) then this will force clubs to get their complete house in order which can only be good for the game.

Somebbody's very afraid they're going to be usurped by their near-neighbour methinks!
Obviously, this is just not true. A Bradford fan sent Mark Campbell a message via FB messenger (ie a private message, not publicly on siocial media), at around midnight, alleging there had been some sort of trouble at the game and slagging off Fev fans.
Despite the time Campbell responded by asking where and what time so he could check it out. The Bradford fan then admitted he hadn't even been at the game! Not surprisingly Campbell then sent him away with a flea in his ear. The Bullls fan had clearly got what he wanted and gleefully copied and pasted the conversation on Bradford FB pages.
There are sadly quite a few Bradford fans who have struggled to come to terms that their big-city club has lived in little Fev's shadow in recent years and have to vent about it from time to time, as can be seen on this thread.
