Was just browsing some articles on the internet and was thinking how bloody awful most of it is. Decided to read some forums which I rarely do these days and lo and behold I’m not alone in thinking so. It seems to be all hearsay, speculation and rumour with no substance and poorly written too. Seems as with many aspects of our game there’s not sufficient money in it for anyone to actually bother putting any effort in.
Yep! Barring a couple, RL journalists have seriously gone down hill in recent years. A few years ago I created a couple of silly transfer rumours which a couple of RL "journalists" published a few days later, with comments from sources if i remember rightly. I wanted to see if they really were in the know or if they just browsed the transfer speculation sections of forums, alas the point was proven.
Also, I don't like to make disparaging remarks about some ones competency at their own job (when they are almost certainly better than I would ever be at it), but I don't ever read anything by CW anymore, ever since he described himself as an "expert in Rugby League" when many people were correcting him on every article he authored.
