| Quote TheWarringtonWolve69="TheWarringtonWolve69"England v Canada women in rugby union had a higher attendance than any rugby league World Cup game so far bar the opener
It was also played in a country with no affinity to either team.'"
Also played in a country where rugby union is the national sport. Plus you forgot to mention that the semi final was a double header which also had the host nation playing.

273,541 with 3 games to go. Can't beat 2013

| Where's the best places to head for a couple of pre game drinks for the Emirates game? Are there many bars around Finsbury Park?

I think they'll include womens and wheelchair attendances too to put a positive spin on things.

And while the Team this time round have had it tougher with the years delay, I dont recall 2013 being some economic paradise either and the team back then was far smaller than 2021. Questions have to be asked about the organisation of this tournament. The only saving grace is likely they have made more money due to higher average price of tickets.

and we've already had 28 games.
The three extra might get us to 400k which isn't too bad, but as other have said, this cup has not been very well organised at all. The turn out for Kiwis v Fiji and Aussie v Lebanon was shocking. World class sport on the doorstep and 7,000 of the 18,000 regular FC/HKR fans rock up, whilst 20 miles from Leeds or Manchester was deemed too far for the tens of thousands of RL fans to consider going to Huddersfield to see the stars of the NRL.
Pay on the gate would have been a good fall-back option they could've introduced once it became obvious that uptake wasn't as good as expected.

At least one stand unreserved at non England, non semi and Final games would have been good too, some like the flexibility of turning up and sitting with mates who have booked seperately. Also usually helps the atmosphere at people get there early to get a good seat.

| They seem to have dropped prices again for the Emirates semi, blocks in the upper tier behind the goal now being cat E rather than cat D

I think they've just split the blocks, those at the front are still the higher bracket, the ones right at the back are the lower ones. The maps are for guidance rather than being 100% and it's hard (unless you've been watching day to day) to tell if this has changed or was always like that.
We do know they have been tinkering with prices though, albeit not half as much as I would have liked.

| Price drops make me feel silly for buying in advance, such poor organisation.
When I bought my tickets for the semi about a year and a half ago I was told we couldn't select a section in the ground, and I have been allocated seats somewhere I don't particularly want to sit, right now I can go on the website and buy 4 tickets in the block I prefer.
I think the message I am being sent is "Don't buy tickets in advance!"
