Quote UllFCWorld Cup organisers say Saturday was the best day for ticket sales since the process began two years ago and the biggest-purchasing postcode was in London. '"
But so many people who watch this sport tell me London is a dead end for rugby league.

The idea that cheaper tickets means more demand is a myth.
All one does is by pricing tickets cheap is cause a race to the bottom.
World cup tickets being more expensive the super league shouldn't be a shock or surprise. That should be a given!!

It's like when clubs price challenge cup games lower than super League matches but the crowds are still lower.

There is a balance though - and some of the costs being asked for Cat A and B and C tickets at some of the less attractive group games is ridiculous and is feeding its own narrative.

London Broncos problem is they have changed grounds too often and changed name/image several times too. Its the equivelent of Hull moving to Donny, York, Leeds etc every few years taking on a Union club name and reverting back and still expecting to build an audience. The Aus-NZ 4nations games in London always got a solid crowd and not sure why we stopped doing those.

Why?
Half of the teams in the group stages are semi-pro and probably mid-table Championship level at best.
Would you pay £40 to watch St Helens (NZ) vs. Whitehaven (Jamaica)?

I think the tickets should have been made progressive priced, that could have been £10 to £40 for the group games £20 to £50 for the quarters and ending up £25 to £75 for the semi final and Final.

I think that shows that the pricing isn't the only problem.'"
Basically it's the attitude..."if it ain't part of my season ticket or I can't sit in the seat I sit in every week...I ain't going"

I think most people who are season ticket holders like to sit in their seat, the problem I faced was that I wasnt willing to pay the money they wanted for my seat and they said the £25 ones where all sold, so I decided to give it a miss.
Then on the TV there was loads of space in the £25 areas........

| Look North (Hull edition) are running a story today about how poor the sales at the MKM on Saturday are (6k sold so far, in a 25k stadium) sadly anyone watching that piece won't be rushing out to buy tickets.
The organisers have really mucked up on the PR with the high band ticket prices, all people are hearing is £70 a seat and that noise is blocking the fact you can get £25 tickets.
