Quite a few of our fans have said Connor is world class
Tompkins has won many grand finals and challenge cups and has stared in the biggest games for 10 years
Connor hasn't done a 10/10.in a final or semi final yet that's the difference between them
He's a very good super league player on his day but still hasn't done it in the biggest games ( flopped in the semi last season, some people don't realise he played against Wigan in 2017 that's how quiet he was!)
He needs to start ripping saints Wigan wire apart like he does Salford, leigh, Huddersfield and he might start getting a look in'"
Bit harsh on Reece Lyne. A very good and more importantly, consistent player and we're net exactly blessed with quality centres ?
As for not being the best centre at Trinty, really ? |

Definitely harsh. Lyne isn’t what I would call a classy centre but he is very hard working and consistently good. His yard gains are very good also along with his defence. I can only recall Lyne having one bad game in a wakey shirt. He works hard and does the basics to a good standard. |

Leulia is a centre and a lot quicker than Liam farrell
Would love to see connor in front of Tompkins but he's miles off Tompkins as a player
Connors effort last night on the last field try was just embarrassing just ran straight through him no step or anything
The players expected Connor to tackle him as they only started sprinting again once he was passed him
... But no Connors awesome!   |

Players like percival, king, Newman, Griffin are a lot better than
Would even have players like hardaker and welsby above him as well |

Are Jake Connor fans seriously picking this week to question Sam TOMKINS defence ?
State of Connors “attempt” on Field.
Tomkins is better at every facet of the game but maybe most importantly his leadership, will to win attitude and 10+ years of big performances in big games.

Young Jack Welsby could be challenging Connor and Tomkins for that position towards the end of the season. Great win attitude and some big performances in 3 finals so far, very creative player can also play in any back position with no drop off in performance. |

I don't care too much about who does and doesn't play where, I just want some representive rugby games to watch.
I'd happily sacrifice club rugby to put the international game first.
An annual 5 nations tournament with England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and France. And a 3 series origin game Yorkshire vs the North West.
Build it and they will come.

Welsby is a cracking prospect, playing in a very, very good St Helens side.
Not sure he is in the same bracket as either Tomkins or Connor at this stage, although his temperament is streets ahead of both of them.
Mind you, his heroics in the GF to chase a lost cause and win the game will certainly live long in the memory. |

Of course Welsby isn’t. He’s best part of 10 years younger than both of them.
Welsby is the most gifted rugby player England has produced since Lomax.
He also not a grub like the other 2. He also prefers quiet nights in with his missus rather than abusing barmaids |
