Quote: Pumpetypump " I suspect that back in the day when Bradford were in SL I was guilty of apathy about the other clubs, and I can remember thinking the fans liked a whinge. Now I see that I was completely wrong in my smug cocoon and that there always needs to be a battle against the inherent self-interest of SL clubs. It would do the whole game a lot of good if some of the clubs that haven't been outside the top flight in recent memory had a little taste. It's not going to happen but they'd come back better for it and with the humility needed to address the game's problems. At least everyone bidding to go up is in that boat.'"
Great post, the thing is what is an SL club?
Is it a club that has just been lucky enough to have a multi £Millionaire owner drop on them, or a kindly local council that has facilitated a modern stadium?
Is a really successful club one that manages to operate at SL level without one or both of these lottery prizes?
