Pyke sounds like he’s putting on a comedy/parody voice whenever he’s commentating - the sort of voice you put on when you’re playing with the kids and commentating along.

Whereas they spanked hull 3 weeks ago and lost to leeds last week!

It would help if we had someone who actually commentated on the game instead of spending 15 minutes talking about who owes who a £3.80 coffee or boasting about how many times one of them had visited the disciplinary during there career.

Sky need to get a grip with the commentators and pundits.

So much of it is just poor and embarrassing.

Jon Wilkin, Kevin Brown are the best I’ve heard recently and should replace Baz, Tez. Phil Clarke needs to go too. Tries to come across as intelligent and insightful but just talks nonsense.

Talking of which, I thought it was cringworthy listening to McDermott waxing lyrical about that fat lump Pauli Pauli in commentary last night.

Why can’t we have the crowd/ ground noise only? I know at the moment it would not work. Sky used to offer this option. Those of us who have followed the game don’t need commentary. I do agree that the ones on Sky now won’t attract the new or casual supporters.

I want commentary, but I don’t want third rate pub banter and repetitive ‘pub bore’ theories.
