So basically, this season is pointless.
Whoever wins it will have an asterisk against their name because the competition has lost a good deal of its integrity, what with rule changes, teams dropping out etc. Add to that, a large amount of games will have absolutely nothing riding on them and be all but dead rubbers. Sky Sports cancelled for six months then.

They will indeed, Toronto are a 'free ride' and Covid 19 has been part of the problem, but they still should have finished the season. |
