My apologies, I forgot that he completely skipped that rung on the ladder and went to Director of Rugby, although I thought that he did take on the role prior to Furner joining.
However, the point still stands on what the hell gives Sinfield the right to tell Someone like Bennet whether he is good enough for the GB/England job.
I know this is immaterial now, as Bennett is to finish after the game on Saturday but, for a player to go straight into upper management, with limited experience in coaching is pretty poor for all concerned, not least for Sinfield himself.
