| A successful Toronto side will do more for the sport over 10 years than (yet another) northern team supported by one man and his dog.
I don't know how people can object to Toronto really.

Absolutely, over 8200 average this season despite been near the foot of the table for most of it.
Makes you wonder what the crowds might be if they can start to achieve some success.

Not at this stage. But they need to bring something. I don't care if that's any of
scintillating play (something the game lacks)
a trophy challenging side
big crowds,
Any of those will make the game more vibrant and justify their place.

| How does Toronto's ground comply with the minimum standards for a super league ground as set by the RFL there is no cover from the elements for the spectators when you watch a game played there its like a beer festival with a constant stream of people continually walking in front of the crowd making there way to one of the numerous beer tents whilst the game is in progress.

| Watching Toronto is like a beer festival?
Even more reason to go. None of this designated sporting grounds nonsense we have at places like the DW and KCOM where you are not allowed alcohol within sight of the playing area.
Statistically speaking it rains about 1 day a week in summer months. So the chances of getting soaked on a game day are, er, about 1/7.

No more or less than someone who has been following it for 55 seconds.

What? People are enjoying themselves? Lots of them? At a rugby league game?
This must be stopped.

| Quote ploinerrhino="ploinerrhino"Every player they have will be overseas'"
No they’re not. In the same way as Tomkins isn’t classed as overseas for Catalans.
Even if they are what does that matter for a new franchise? The alternative is that the money given to SL clubs from the TV is cut by 3/4’s and that money is spent on creating and growing a massive network of amateur clubs that grow into semi-pro and finally professional clubs in Canada.
Now if you’re happy for every SL club to give up £1.5m a year, every year for 40 years then that’s a potential alternative. However given the modern nature of media and people leisure habits I would say that’s much more risky than trying to engage people in Canada with a successful team that costs the game very little over here. In fact SL clubs will profit from having Toronto in the league.

Seems I am one of the few who want to see them succeed, but I wouldn't go as far as saying they're sustainable, certainly not just yet.
