Last night missing three dream team members, one our top try scorer, the other top metre maker...our two most destructive forwards Fifita and Pauli...Anthony England, vastly experienced...Arona probably one of the most underrated players in the comp and James Batchelor one of the brightest prospects in the game...any team is going to miss that quality throughout the large parts of the season...
We ended up 4 wins short of 5th place and I’d argue if injuries had been kinder we wouldn’t have been far away from getting four more wins...
We’re in good company anyway because Leeds finished 9th in 2016 the year after winning the treble and Warrington finished 9th in 2017 the year after reaching both finals...which just highlights any team can finish that low if things go against you...
