The response to the whole situation, on social media, has been absolutely appalling. How anyone can blame what happened on the pitch or the referees performance for that shambles is beyond me. I’ve seen quite a few videos circulating and they all show Warrington fans as the perpetrators. I’m sure Catalans fans probably were winding them up but that is not an excuse. Both sets of players should also be ashamed.

Word is Catalan fans throwing missiles from the box at Wire fans, one hit a young kid.

The first twist was catalan fans throwing chairs. Which was disproven and suddenly the story changed.

So forgive me if I have doubts about the source of the information.

Chris Hill said Edwards was shouting something to rile up the fans, and you can see him in the background waving his arms up and down as if to say “come on you lot get stuck into them” (as in get up and get stuck into the Wire fans)

That’s why Hill was saying “oi, what are you f*****g doing that for? My parents and child are up there”

So it's not just me then that has his post removed everytime I challenge Bazza whilst the e the convict writes to antagonize stays for all to read. Proof if needed he's part of this site. I'll make a mental note of how long this lasts. 10-9-8........

Yet to see one Warrington fan condemn the actions of their fans and players, instead they’re listing excuses that are changing by the minute.

The Warrington guardian have images, yet to see any chairs being thrown. Some beer being thrown both up and down, but all after the box started to be invaded.

Our excellent, impartial, diligent and hardworking moderators have had a bit of a conflab and decided that we’d like to have a go at cleaning up, and focusing discussion on the Virtual Terrace.

This forum is designed for people to discuss all aspects of rugby league in a friendly, non-partisan, open and educated manner, but we’ve noticed in recent weeks and months that a number of our regular posters are not fully embracing the ethos of the place.
What we don’t want to see (in no particular order) is; points scoring, sniping, trolling, one up-man-ship, bullying, or otherwise belligerent posting.

Over the next few hours, days, weeks and possibly months, our moderation team will be visiting more regularly and they now have carte-blanche to delete posts which they see as falling into the above categories. No reason will be given, and their decision is final. The Admins will not consider any support tickets relating to deleted posts from the VT and they will be closed without response.

If you find that you’ve had a post removed then it was probably considered to have fallen into one of these categories. If you regularly have posts deleted then you perhaps might want to think about your posting style and whether you are really here to discuss rugby league, or for some other reason.

Stay within the guidelines and you’ve nothing to worry about, we want a vibrant, friendly discussion from people of all viewpoints.

Whoever is / was to blame there is one shocking oversight that I think everyone is not taking note of. That is the lack of security or policing of the game.

It seems a lifetime ago that when a situation like this erupted at a rugby league ground and let's take our head out of our butts because it's happened at every ground in the SL that a well drilled police squad would pile in and dissolve the trouble.

Clubs are playing Russian Roulette with security due to cost and the game is one minor incident away from a disaster because grounds are ok with a 5th rate work force doing the stewarding .

Both clubs need sanctions for tonight but all clubs need to learn lessons because I think it could have been a lot worse.
