Quote: christopher "To be honest Printer, I really cannot be arrised going over the same old arguments again and again, it’s blatantly obvious our management has cocked up the transition from 2015 onwards and that icnludes Mcdermott, Hetherington and yes Sinfield has made some mistakes since coming in but the major damage had been done and the club was a basket case which will take a fair few years to sort out.
And to be clear keeping Garbutt and now Parcell wouldn’t have made a blind bit of difference to how the team is going'"
No it wasn’t a basket case, they just had been tight with money for obvious and needed reasons and were still going ok. We won the GF with this apparent awful squad and coach and were sitting top 4 after 10 Rounds in 2018. As we constantly see nowadays when teams have injuries hit hard you struggle and even then we were losing several 1 pointers.....what we have now since Sinfield came in is the real mess and he’s caused it
We didn’t need to rip up the squad we had (and certainly not get rid of 2 of its better players) we needed to steadily add quality to it over time with the big money that had suddenly appeared available since July 2018 (not force it in 12 months) and focus on getting the best out of our better players like Garbutt and Parcell not focus on getting them out of the club.
Sinfield is mostly the man responsible for our position, at least Hetherington flaw of not spending was done with good intentions and we needed to do the ground up.
And if you don’t think a 140m per game prop wouldn’t have helped us you’re really burying your head in the sand....I suppose we kept Singleton though and powder puff attack, brought in Dom Crosby who hasn’t played a single game and Wellington Albert too. Or a hooker who has shown he can score up to 19 tries a season when he has a good front row to work and has looked much better than Dwyer in his last several appearances when Sinfield would finally sub him on, instead we kept a headless chicken at 9.
