Quote: Moe syslak "Has any justice been done for those 39 Italian fans yet?'"
Nobody is trying to condone the behaviour of Liverpool fans at Heysal, certainly not me.
I would imagine that to the families of those killed or injured, justice can never be done, just as it cant for the Liverpool fans that died and were injured at Hilsborough.
There isn't a prison sentence around that can make up for one of your friends or family being killed in either circumstance.
However, there were Liverpool "fans" charged with manslaughter and imprisoned and rightly so.
I'm assuming that you are trying to infer that because of Heysal, Liverpool and anyone associated with them has no right to complain or that because of those events, they (Liverpool) are being unreasonable in banning employees of The Sun newspaper from entering their ground.
Strange logic but, you, like everyone else, are entitled to your opinion.
The naivety displayed from some on here in believing that despite a ban on Sun journalists going to Anfield, that they (the Sun) still tried to send one of their employees to the ground.
Dont you think that, despite this being a RL event, they might have made contact prior to sending their journalist over there.
Also, IF the journalist had a background in sport coverage, might it have been wise for him to check, prior to going or, is this too bleeding obvious.
Despite The Sun being at the lower end of the media spectrum, even they are bright enough to know these things or, maybe, they thought there would be a better "scoop" in having their man stopped at the gates OR, actually getting into Anfield and stirring the pot further.
It's no wonder the world is now led by Trump and Boris/Farage
