A young lad asked me why Warrington Rugby team was despised, I explained that it was not the team that was despised it was their supporters. When you read some of the drivel spouted by them on hear, we'll it isn't supprising.

If anyone despises another club or their supporters then they really need to re-assess their priorities in life.

You'll find that, most of the time, it's actually the arrogance and lack of respect given by certain saints posters towards other clubs that leads to all the dick measuring nonsense on here.

Warrington aren’t despised, they get mocked for the “it’s our year” thing but that’s about it. Teams that are probably most despised are Wigan and Leeds and that’s just childish jealously because of their success.

Leeds and Wigan fans could act like the most humblest people on earth and fans of certain teams would still hate those clubs out of jealously. The “it’s because of their fans” is just a weak see-through excuse they try to throw out to make it look like it’s not because of success jealousy (you know...because they convince themselves following a team isn’t about success because their team has had none). Also the other thing is Leeds and Wigan fans act absolutely ZERO differently to what other clubs fans would IF they EVER had our success to celebrate so pointing the finger at the fans is again a pathetic see-through excuse.

Certain fans will try to counter this point and say they aren’t jealous and blame their neighbour, or me or other fans they’ve read online....it’s BS, the reason they hate the likes of Leeds & Wigan is just pure jealousy but they aren’t man enough to admit that weakness so they convince themselves it’s something more and they have good reason by being provoked by their clubs fans.

Good rant and yes I would love my club to have had the same success as Leeds and Wigan. But the reason I don't like either of them is because of the reasons stated.

Not sure how it's come to this on a Saints v Wakey thread, but give me Wigan fans over Leeds fans anyday, far more knowledgeable about the game and less arrogant.

I usually find Wigan fans fine. Can't like the club because well it's Wigan. Even with 30 years of no success and no fans saints would take great pleasure in thumping Wigan.

Leeds is fine stood in the south side with a saints shirt on, no issues.

Warrington is the only place I've been to so far were its a more football type atmosphere and having stood with Warrington fans had to move as they couldn't cope with being decent.

Its probably not everyone but it's the only place we have had to move for our own safety and this was as a family group not a bunch of drunken lads.
