Not sure that’s true. I was always under the impression that if a club has more than 3 home games affected by Sky, they get a compensatory payment to cover the loss of crowd. First 3 are covered by the contract I think.

Without knowing the details I thought the same as you that that's why I asked, which makes Boss Hogg wrong with his assertions that Wakefield get the same funding from Sky as the rest of SL.

It was actually you that made the first assertion that there are match day payments outside of the usual funding.

Which is what is wrong with our game. Why should the likes of Wakefield, hudds and Salford receive the same as Wigan, Warrington and saints. It’s embarassing. Moran and McManus should be getting elstone to re negotiate a deal where we get the lions share as we bring in the most viewers a la Barca and Real Madrid and the tv deal they had. Basically us 3 are keeping the likes of Wakefield afloat

Tigerade has already given you a good summary of the Sky payments, which do not include an extra payment for hosting a TV game.

I agree with you that any club that does have its home games televised, especially Thursday night games should be compensated, but sadly that is not the case.

Try reading it again, I was not sure what reference Boss Hogg was refering to with regards to Wakey receiving the full Sky payment which they aren't, that is why I asked if there was a seperate payment for televised matches alone. HTH.

As for the freebies, just take a peek on t'internet, they're not hard to find.
Even Toulouse, who I quite like, seem to dosh out freebies galore.

Btw, lots have club's trying to grow their fan base have tried the free/ cheap tickets (Huddersfield still offer a S/T for less than £100) but, most have realised that this style just undervalues the "product"
You can close your eyes and cover your ears and deny that Toronto are doing this but, it doesn't make you right.

NFL has 16 regular round plus league required 4 preseason games which are all covered by season tickets, so minimum 10 home games plus extra play offs.

Don't know why so many Wakefield fans are terrified of Toronto. It does not cost them or any other super league club anything its entirely self funding, does not affect them in anyway shape of form, is it because they get better crowds in a division below, or is it the fear that they bring no away support because as we all know Wakefied have very little support of their own and rely on away support to boost their attendances.

The VT trolls obsession with Wakfield & Salford has become tiresome.
