The problem is Post, that you judge her on the standard of the league she plays in rather than how good she is.
The shoehorning in thing is real I agree across all sports but not for women.
When the Olympics or WC is on we see lots of new people, many brought in for who they are rather than their knowledge and presenting skills.
Some go on to make something of it. Some don't.
It's not a gender thing.
Personally I thought the new presenter was a good addition. When asked about who she thought would win she gave a great response why she chose who she chose and when talking about the game she clearly had knowledge and clearly made judgement calls on the actual game rather than churning out standard lines.
In my opinion she is already above some of the summarises on sky/BBC so I hope she does more.
