No. What is truly pathetic is the shocking 19th century condition of Belle Vue "stadium," and the feeble turnout of Wakefield fans. The sooner Wakefield joins Leigh in the Championship, and the sooner Toronto, Toulouse and Bradford join Super League, the better for rugby league.

Every season is a clean sheer - both ways imo. Teams and players who looked poor last year can often with a little tweaking be great this. It’s as if these self proclaimed experts think that people never change when in fact they do.

Most coaches learn, some players grow up whilst others grow old. RL is a short lifetime so it’s very fluid and things can change dramatically in twelve month.

I understand the need to predict a winner and there is tbf a bit of science to it and anyway it’s fun and hurts no one. Picking a relegation team seems a negative and often vindictive activity usually based on either pre-conceived opinion, bias or dislike.

Personally I have no idea where Wakey or Salford will finish. Saints and Warrington will be competitive, I’ll go that far. London have a difficult task and even if they win today it will remain so.

So why not enjoy a competitive season, view each team on current form and every game one at a time and drop the elitist nonsense is what I say. It won’t happen but hey
