We do have a strange deal at the moment, when attendances are deliberately harmed by the TV scheduling and then we moan about falling attendances.
With only 12 clubs in SL and games spread over 4 days, perhaps its time to incliude the top end of The Championship in the next TV deal.
Our "competition", football and Union, dont have 2/3 of their clubs on live TV every week AND they are generating way, way more than we are in TV revenue.
I know there are many reasons why but, we are spreading our product too thinly at present and it's no actually helping the game.
It really is time that we started talking up the value of the game, instead of selling it as cheaply as possible '"
Sky would probably argue that their viewing figures are lowered by clubs scheduling in competition with the televised fixture on a Friday. It's a real dilemma. But I don't think Leeds, for example, would be willing to see the reduction in hospitality sales and catering takings that a shift to, say, sunday would entail. The same almost certainly applies top other clubs too.
