And although some of the tickets were giveaways, the attendance was still four times what Broncos would have managed if the MPG had been played in London.
No harm done.
And congratulations to the Broncos. Visited Lamport three times this season, didn't whinge once. A class club with classy players. They won on the day.'"
Given other threads about the RFL operational rules and the MPG etc., how was it that TWP could give tickets away for this one, given that the RFL should have been setting the attendance prices for the game. I'm sure there's a good and valid reason, but I'm intrigued what it is?
Btw, given the announced attendance and the ground capacity, there would have been around 4% of seats not occupied (ie. hard to see an empty seat). It was a very good crowd, but certainly not at 96% capacity.
Also, given the enormity of the game, and so many fans in the ground, why would the PA announcer feel the need to start off any "Wolfpack" chants? Most grounds would be pandemonium (sic) with that many folk in attendance with such an important game underway.
See you next year.
