I'm going to stick my neck out and say Toronto will blow it. London and Toulouse are my front runners for the MPG at the moment with London just sneaking it.

| I think Toronto v London in the MPG, but a lot could depend on how much Salford put into their game against Tolouse, given that I think they will be already safe by then.

Before the m8s started I wondered if Toronto might choke. London and Toulouse have both beaten an SL team (Widnes). To get a chance of promotion they must beat either Leeds or Widnes.
Even with Leeds' issues, I can't see Toronto winning that one. If Widnes beat 'fax next weekend it might just give them a bit of a boost ahead of going to Canada.
Basically, Toronto will not get automatic promotion and may still miss out on the MPG.
London is a massive game for us at home next week and if we ease off like we did against Halifax, London have just enough to get one over on us. Points difference is important in such a short league but winning by any margin is more important. Looking at whats left, a minimum of 9 points will get you into the top 3.

| Just to put it out there, it may well be that the MPG becomes irrelevant as there is every chance of a change to the league structure, which may well see SL expanded to 14 clubs, which will ensure the safety of Leeds and allow London, Tolouse and Toronto to replace Widnes.
Tbf, this would give everyone the chance to see just what benefits there may be in having a North American side in SL as well as potentially boosting the game in France, which seems pretty sensible.
I dont know how this may or may not affect Sky funding etc but, it would be the right thing for the game.
THis could also ensure that Bradford and York make it into the Championship although, this would further infuriate the Leigh and Fev fans, who may think that their clubs have missed out.

We have missed out under the current structure that's in place now. We only have ourselves to blame for that, despite what the new structure will be.

| To be honest I can see the MPG being between Toronto & London, with London taking the win.
As has been mentioned earlier if Salford beat Leeds then there is no guarantee they won't find themselves in 4th.

I'd like them to expand SL to 14 for the reasons you mention, but believe we are looking at:
SL - 12 teams, 5 team play offs, 1 up 1 down
Championship - 14 teams, 1 up 1 down
League 1 - 12 teams. 3 up 1 down this season, then 1 up 1 down thereafter.

IF we are to have a change in format, ultimately with the aim of accommodating Toronto and Toulouse, then, lets stop
chuffing about and get them into the top flight. It's imperative that we find out whether the inclusion of Toronto is practical and beneficial to the sport before we start thinking any additional N. American clubs.
They (Toronto) should be promoted and then protected from relegation for 2/3 seasons and lets see if it's a good idea.
Personally, I'm still not convinced, although they should be applauded for their efforts in getting as far as they have in such a short space of time. However, until the "model" is proven, we know nothing and we need to know whether they (and others) would be viable in SL before getting too much further down the track.
I really dont see the benefit in waiting another 1,2,3 seasons to find out whether it works.

| SL isn't going to expand to 14 as that would mean less money per club for at least the next 2 years. And that just ain't going to happen.
