Personally I think this should go further, 4 interchanges, once you go off you can’t come back on (with the exception of someone getting ruled out of the game with concussion)

I prefer having 10 as we do now personally. This allows space for the zippy impact hooker, and the massive props who come on for short spells and create havoc. Reducing the number of interchanges would, IMO, result in less variation in the type of player we see, which I would find less exciting.

The counter argument is that smaller more dynamic runners will take advantage over the course of the game. Perhaps we will see a return to the " old fashioned" style of running half. Players have got bigger right across the board on average with centres, back rows and wingers being interchangeable. We might see more specialism.

Whilst I agree with a lot of your post. I disagree with the last line. If anything if we reduce the amount of subs per game. Then I think we will see a lot more utility players, who can fill in the positions required. As some one has said your still going to use 3/4 subs for prop rotation.

in theory it should help make them game more exciting especially rewards the end when players tire. Unfortunately I think all it will do is increase the amount of 1 man rugby till sides tire.
But there are arguments for and against. It will be interesting to see which way the RFl go here. I imagine they'll go to 8 myself.
