Ok, they have been the best team in the championship this season UP TO NOW and will finish the top of the table. I think us Leigh fans should be concentrating on ourselves rather than Toronto. I'm going to Toulouse on Saturday and for me if we lose there then we won't need to look at Toronto for them final 7 games as we will not be in the top 4. If we get there then who knows but every game this season is a grand final to us.

Finally someone from Leigh seeing things properly and in the proper perspective.

Here is a little persective for you.


You will be hitting the middle 8's with a team made up of quite a few who was in it with Leigh. Now, if these players were as good as you spout, then they would already be in SL wouldnt they.

Let that sink in for a moment

If you had kept alot of theses players and signed them you would still be in Super League? And you fail to mention the most important person you should have retained, the coach, Mr. Paul Rowley...if you had kept him you would still be in Super League?......Leigh seems to have a very high turnover...there are reasons the players and coaches want to leave....that is where your efforts should be directed. I know its not the answer you want but it is factual.

We had signed them, you knew that.

But some went on backpacking holidays, acting careers, had career ending injuries and retired.

Guess where they ended up.

As for the coach, his grubby dirty tactics are prevalent in your teams play, glad he went.....with the physio.

You gotta let it go RoyBoy...let it go and move on, you and Leigh need to let it go and move on...time heals all wounds...

You mean like Paul Rowley has !

Paul Rowley couldn’t get Leigh into SL never mind keep them there in fact he failed spectacularly when it came to the crunch and if you do make SL I guarantee Paul Rowley won’t be your coach

Paul Rowley's best performances were when he was wearing a number 9 shirt for Fax. He's actually a very decent bloke, and sponsored a Fax game a couple of months ago. Regarding his credentials as a top level coach, that's more in question, albeit with Brian Noble in the background it's probably not that bad a combination.

TW's biggest problem may well be their own high turnover (replacing lesser players with higher calibre ones). The very best set of individual players will win nothing unless they're gelled as a team. Coaches like John Kear and Daryl Powell can motivate a team to perform above their abilities, and (I'm biased) a part-time team like Fax who'll bust a gut for each other can also do well. Assembling a team of stars means nothing if they won't work for each other.

Once again Sparky your analysis is second to none...but I do feel Rowley will be given a good chance and a good go at it first...if he is successful he will stay, if not he will go....but make no doubt, he will not be replaced right away as some seem to think, he will be given a good chance from Noble and Argyle, the fans over here will accept nothing less...he is like a new man over here on a second coming.

Paul Rowley is highly thought of over here in Toronto.
