He should have stuck it out at the Raiders, it looked like Sticky was on the verge of getting him back on the straight and narrow.

He was overweight at Catalan, but was still the most effective player on the pitch in every Catalan game i watched and played long minutes.

Overweight does not always mean unfit, however on this occasion he looks to have piled a lot of weight on in a short space of time, i don`t see how that couldn`t effect his fitness.

With his off field antics, i would keep well away from him. Widnes scream desperate, so i wouldn't be surprised to see them in for him.

Was just going to say that Fat doesn't mean unfit, as he was the best player on the pitch at the KC a couple of years back, think he played with cracked ribs too and was still very good. Maybe he is a bit like Ricky Hatton in between fights, piles it on easy, but can lose it quick too if he applies himself

Those pictures were taken at what should've been the end of a long pre-season. I'm not sure he's capable of applying himself anymore, which could be why he's left Catalans & Toronto and no SL club has come in for him.

I thought he was awful at the game at the KC, didn't look bothered, although to be fair none of their team looked particularly bothered.

I think if he only wanted 30-40k a year then clubs would snap him up and take the risk, but he will probably demand close to 100k which nobody will part with for a liability like he can be

Aye, and also takes up a spot on the quota, which at this point for most clubs would mean offloading an overseas player.

With the DR now gone from Salford and Leigh now taking an alternative approach to their recruitment he seems to have exhausted all avenues over here with regards to the money clubs that will take on any troubled player since he buggered it up with Catalan and Toronto. As previously mentioned, i wouldn't be surprised to see a desperate attempt to sign him from one of the clubs that seem to be struggling though.

Just looks like he's not maintained regular training to me. Only needs a short space of time to lose the musle.

And a fair bit of ale and pie to develop such a gut in a short space of time. Looks to have been on the Jarrad Hickey diet.

As I said, a short period of time without regular training for guys who are use to training five days a week,will show within weeks.

I don't think any of you can deny that he is one of the best players in the world right now, regardless of the league he is playing in.

He's not even in bad shape.

I work out and when I've had injuries and had to stop like when I hurt my back, it took about 2/3 months to lose some muscle and my BFP went up by about 5/7% during that time, but I'm not a regular drinker. Like you say if you've been doing it for a long time like Taylor has, if he applies himself he could get back in shape in a couple of months, like he did at Canberra. He wasn't as big when he went there though.

Saying all that hasn't he just done at least part of Toronto's Pre season just a couple of months ago? Wonder if he turned up looking like that and didn't bother.

Looking at him, he's not put weight on his face and got a big beer belly, speaks volumes what he's been up to imo.

Canberra got him probably in the best shape he's been in a few years but it didn't take long for him to absolutely pile it on.
