Quote: craig hkr "The touch judge coming on was a strange one but we all bemoan they don't get involved enough? Thought ref was finicky but gave similar penalties against both teams. 2 very strange VR interpretation so can see why the gnashing of teeth on way back home for Hull. I actually thought it was a decent game and BOTH teams had good lads missing. Felt like the 2nd half was all Hull but didn't see any stats? Love em or hate em Leeds are bloody tough side'"
The flaw in the VR system is having the on field referee dictate the angle that the VR looks at it from. If the on field referee call is a try, the if the camera's were not there, it would be awarded. If he calls no try, it would be disallowed. Its forcing the on field referee to commit, which if he is to do so, then give that decision.
The VR should be used for genuine and realistic uncertainty.
Was Logan offside? Not so sure as if Hicks had called it a try on field when referring to the VR, was there evidence to turn it down?
If "finding a way to win" included Abletts conning of the referee to win a penalty then finding a way to win is then simply cheating. I believe hkr were victim to Abletts cheating a few weeks ago, so you'll understand the frustration it can cause.
