| Adam Walker from Saints to Trinity on a 2 1/2 year deal would go under moves in 2017.

| Quote barham red="barham red"To be fair I think we're both rubbish at bringing young kids through, if you look how many made the England squad in the last few years and its pretty poor. Wilkin, Taylor, Yeaman and Hodgson are the only ones I can think of and Taylor is far from a regular.
Hulls development policy over recent years has gone backwards seemingly preferring to buy in then develop, one thing our stint in the championship has done is allow us to blood a lot of young kids'"
Can't be too bad as we have sent out 5/6 of our young players on loan including one to Rovers, so Sheens obviously doesn't agree with Hessle Rover assessment of our bang average young players.

| Dean Hadley is a recent Hull academy graduate too and as a Wakefield fan I can confirm he looks like a top player.

| It's a different subject for a different thread. Apologies to all for the off topic!
In the last 5 years I have been largely impressed with Hull's youth work. They haven't got the balance right by any means though.
Us... the last couple of years has seen us blood more youngsters and I am more positive of the standard of those coming through, but we have a long way to go compared to those teams we hold up as the gold standard

Of course you can blood more youngsters. Look at the quality of the league your playing in.
As for last season it was only when you were destined tor the bottom 4 you brought them in. How many youngsters played in your most important game last season v Salford?
I'd take quality over quantity and at the moment fc are ahead of rovers in that department

Ha... can't we just get along!
Please re read my post but read "we have blooded more youngsters" as a relative to how many we had blooded in season previous, not as a comparison against how many Hull have blooded.

Sorry my opinion hit a nerve there. But that's all it is. We've all heard of the tripe coming from FC fans regarding their youngsters before.....remember the Tyson Wilson brothers?? Next biggest thing was them lads!.... Where are they now??
There's 5 in our young ranks I wouldn't swap for any of yours right now. That being Harris, Lawler, Cator, Wardill and Oakes. Top lads, all of them.
