| Quote: MattyB "We've not mullered anyone this season. Pressure is off Wire tonight, can see them giving us a real game. Even though Wigan haven't lost the last three games we haven't been sparkling.
Defence has improved, attack hasn't really clicked yet.
Good, dry night. Ideal for RL, a good indicator for our intentions tonight.'"
It went how I expected.
Dull to watch, poor discipline, clueless in attack played out in a soul-less stadium in front of bored home fans!
Top 8 secured, season over.

| Quote: lister "2 incidents from Sam Tomkins in the 29th minute should be looked at by RFL. Trip on Currie, and then a few tackles later working Savellio’s leg around.
Ratchford got a 1 match ban for tripping Tomkins in the CC match, didn’t use EGP though. I’m asking too much for consistency from RFL though.
Tomkins seems much slower these days, like all the injuries have taken their toll.'"
Have you tried emailing the RFL and grassing him up?

Ps how poor is Sam Tomkins?? Im sure he just niggles people due his frustrations of being a below average player.'"
Scrums in general are awful. Last night I noticed Castleford started their defensive run the moment the ball was fed into the scrum. I'm sure that's common across the sport and I'll notice it all the time now I noticed them doing it last night. Like all offsides the ref can decide if and when he dishes out a penalty or lets it go. Bizarrely, the option to hold the ball in the scrum is about the only thing making scrums what they are, what with the eradication of any other form of contest. They just don't work in the modern game and I can't remember the last time a team got a significant advantage from getting head and feed.
To answer your last question, very.

| Quote: Fantastic Mr Catpiss "the most bizarre occurence last night for me, was the penalty against hiku for moving off the mark, now granted after being held down, he probably did move forward about half a metre when he got up, but in the grand scheme of things, he didn't steal any distance and its far from the worst version of that you will see all season.
Contrast with the second half, wire put a bomb up in the away end, ratch pats it back to lockers who stands still waiting for the ref to blow, we tackle him, he then crawls forwards 3 times with NOTHING said to him whatsoever.
Bizarre, truly bizarre.'"
I would have understood if Hiku had played the ball, but he hadn't when the penalty was awarded. Child could have shouted for Hiku to go back, making it a slower play of the ball.

He looks finished as a top class FB that's for sure.
Time and again on Thursday he read the game beautifully, but didn't have the pace to exploit the gap.
