Agreed. They were just inviting the Queensland side onto them in the last 20 minutes and with such a narrow lead you just knew that they would eventually find the play to crack the nut. Sad really because that was a Queensland side there for the taking, and it will be tough going back to Brisbane for the decider. the Queensland star players are just starting to slide now, and they miss the strike of Inglis but still got the job done in the end.

Though he had announced that 2017 was his last year of representative rugby league, Johnathan Thurston has signed a one year extension with North Queensland Cowboys to play for them in 2018. He has currently played 299 games, and had hoped that next weekend would be his 300th, but that achievement will have to wait until the 2018 season.
