For the good of the game I hope Cunningham, St Helens have always been one of the top teams in SL and to see them in their current sorry state is surely sad for everyone, even their rivals.

I heard more than a strong rumour -- in fact I read a letter from Gary Hetherington -- which said prior to the game against Catalans, Brian McDermottt was four games and a box of chewing gum away from being sacked.

For the sanity of all St. Helens fans it has to be Cunningham. He's great entertainment value, but he isn't good for the club or for the prospect of bringing young lads through the academy. Who in their right might would give Lms and Wilkin new contracts. No matter how bad Wilkin is he'll praise him till the cows come home. Yet when a young lad (Richardson) Is dropped after two games and hung out to dry by Cunningham then that sums him up. He didn't stand a chance with Wilkin pushing him out the way, wanting to be the one to kick the ball and stifling the poor lads involvement

That was before they battered your beloved Catalans. They should pick up some wins against Wakefield and Huddersfield, can't see them beating Wigan though.

I'd go with that. If correct, there's no way McDermott will be sacked in the short term. Frayssinous, meanwhile, moves ever closer to the trapdoor....

i think it will be stone. to an outsider he doesn't seem to have made any improvements to the hudds team, in fact this season they are looking worse than last year when a similar display of form saw a sacking. in reality the other 2 are not going down so there is no real panic. with hull kr lurking in the middle 8s (if they qualify) there is a danger hudds might go down, so panic will be setting in, especially if after another 3 games they have no more points as a previous poster has alluded to.

so its stone for me - the problems with all 3 of these is who will replace them should they lose their jobs.

He's covered in the other category. IMO Widnes have the weakest team on paper, after selling their best player, so are doing as expected in my book.
