Name the players indoor squad who have come through your Academy into the first team.
I will accept players who moved over you your club as under 19's and players who left you but have returned so long as they were in the first team at some point (includes cup games).
In order of games played.
Regulars
Tom Johnstone
Kyle Wood
Max Jowitt
Chris Anakin
All made first team debut
Jordan Crowther
James Batchelor
Rob Moules
Judah Mazive
Yet to debut
Frazer Morris
Non Academy players who were signed young from other clubs and spent most of their careers with us/you - they don't count but are worth a mention.
Reece Lyne
Joe Ardudal
Anthony Walker
Jon Molloy
9 or roughly 30% of the squad all of whom imho are SL capable to varying degrees is not bad. I'll be happier when it's neared 40% which I personally think is about the best most teams can do and be competitive.
There is a bit of a myth in RL that teams used to be made up totally of local young lads. Thats not true, half is probably the best you can really manage and stay competitive, yes there will be exceptions (Wigan spring to mind at the moment) but generally clubs have always signed players from all over the place.'"
How about adding on players currently playing in SL, but at other clubs now, that have come through the club? That would give a good indication as to what clubs contribute most to the league and which clubs just take from others? Could be interesting reading.
