Quote: PurpleCheeseWarrior "That's because Wigan - big club, Wakefield - small club.
If they folded tomorrow no one would give a sh*t except for the ten people that show up (and I'm round up the numbers there).
It's f*cking tin pot clubs like Wakey and Cas that are forcing the RFL to persist with the salary cap and thus driving down the quality of Super League every year until we inevitably become nothing more than a feeder competition for Union and the NRL.'"
I see the champagne hasn't worn off yet then no?
You really are clueless aren't you. You do realise that both of the clubs you mentioned both made the top 8 this year? (given we didn't actually win a game but still)
Oh and for the "10 people that show up" - we did pretty well considering we were the team that increased our attendances the most this year from the year before
Tell me, where would you be if you actually had to own and fund your own stadium without feeding off the football team?
Or where you would've been had you not cheated in 2006 to bring in players (over the cap) to stop you going down? ha.
Oh and as for Castleford - they've been consistently in the top 6 for the past 3 years - so how you can still call them a tin pot club is beyond me.
Laughable.
