Strictly speaking he doesn't need replacing. Eddie is the commentator and the rest are pundits of varying degrees of idiocy. However, if anyone can "replace" him it's Phil Clarke. Carney, Wells & co all provide a reasonable, well informed input, and while I do defend Clarke as one of the most insightful pundits there is a seed of madness that has been steadily growing for quite some years now and I would like to see him allowed to descend fully into the madness that Stevo managed to achieve.

I can never understand why the people who want a serious and somber commentary team (a la Dimbleby at the Cenotaph) invariably squeal with delight at the NRL Footy Show and pretend to understand Australian in-jokes.

Tony Rea. I'd have one of the sky sports news crew as the head presenter to bring some professionalism to the broadcast. Think Simon Thomas was moved to the football league broadcasts and Ed Chamberlain to the premier league games, something similar to that.
