Phil's awful, I mute him now, everything's hyperbole and random trains of thought. That must be one of the best if not THE best defensive play of the season....he must be THE best player in Super League at that....they are THE best team in the league at that... It's terrible I really can't understand how Clarke has the job he has.

Probably because he is an ex pro who doesn't sound like your average working class northerner.

That's still more than they deserve...
All those ex-Wiganers - Clarke, O'Connor, Carney, McDermott - are all known for their dislike of Wigan.

I'm going to go against the trend of slagging Phil Clarke off, as I think his love of his hometown club is admirable however his love in with Salford far outweighs any Wigan bias. All the others hate us especially wiggy and his Irish counterpart, "Salford city reds or whatever they call themselves" Carney.

EVERY team has fans that think someone at sky hates their team, or has an agenda against them.

So basically, sky hate every super league team.

PC, meh, he's not that offensive, at least I can understand what he's saying, yes some of his Wigan bias is a bit nauseating ("the no one could catch that" when ickle tomkins missed a kick was a WTF moment).
I'm past caring about SKY, they got a cheap deal yet again and just mug the fans and the sport off.

I just wish we had some proper commentators, like Eddie 20 years ago, MS was a joke when he started and should have never being given a job. Ray French was lucky to get the gig BITD and as we all know EW was left 8-10 years too long.

I actually really like the BBC coverage now. I like Dave Woods and Jonathan Davies and the studio stuff with Chappers and 3 guests, usually including Wilkin who is excellent on tv in my opinion, is great.

As for Sky, they need to get rid of Barrie & Terry, they're just awful and go back to just 2 commentators. As Stevo is finishing, I'd be happy with Eddie and either Carney or Clarke. But just the 2 of them. I think it'd stop half the childish bickering and bo!!ocks.
The presentation is now miles better thanks to Carney & Wells who are fantastic and exactly what I'm after. Knowledgeable people asking insightful questions of guests and showing us some great stuff on the touch screen. Just get rid of the useless 3 or 4 people off the commentary. I think most of the time this season there's been at least 4 commentators (Eddie, Stevo, Clarke & either Barrie or Terry) plus Stuart Cummings, plus Bill Arthur with injury/half time updates.

I like Phil Clarke. Don't have a problem with him at all.
He needs to keep clear of the Stevo type character that Sky like to create that's all.

Don't mind Clarke TBH, particularly now that his tendency towards using some less-than-meaningful stats seems to have been toned down.
Carney and Wells are fine.
As is Eddie - just about. Angela Powers is competent enough.
Baz n Tez's "humour" isn't far removed from them lighting each others' farts.
Stevo's sole role these days seems to be to create the illusion that Cummings has a full grasp of the rules of the game.

BBC-wise, don't like Davies much, like Wilkin less. Woods is fine. Noble and Kear can be good to listen to, as can Peacock at times. Big thumbs-down for Eorl.

Agree with Clearwing. I find Davies' peevish "Just watch!" irritating; I am watching, you fool! He seldom seems capable of adding the insights that the likes of Freddie Fittler and (especially) Peter Sterling add to the NRL.

Wells is the best (arguably the only good) thing on Sky by a mile.
