| Nothing has changed since Marwan took over. We had a brief spell of major marketing after signing the likes of Chase, Puletua, Meli, Hock, Morley, Hansen etc and I remember the crowd for that first game of the season vs Wakefield was 6,500. Since the disasters which were the two seasons that's followed our marketing had died a death and as a result crowds have gone back to what I would consider the "core" support.
This is the best Salford team (granted not on paper) that we've had for many years, they play some very entertaining stuff and deserve a bigger effort from the club from a marketing perspective. We don't even do the basics ie posters in and around Salford etc.

| Just checked: in "Division One" (the new-speak version of the 3rd Division), Wigan Latics averaged 9467, Oldham Latics 4361, Bury 3751, and Rochdale 3098. This division is not seen as an attractive place to attract fans. But even Stockport County average 3082 and FC United of Manchester average 3394 and they are/were not in a national division.
If we go up to the Championship, we go into the 10000+ area for the Three Bs.
Then there is the TV audience: I have friends who watch 3-4 matches a weekend.
RL is a very junior relative.

| Salford played very well and were clinical with ball in hand.
It looked a game too far for Wakefield and the short turnaround didn't help (plus the poor discipline).
Salford could be a dark horse in the 8's, especially if they get some points back.
