I was wondering this myself. Just after the game ended, the Salford twitter account said

followed by

Since then, there have been some very unsavoury images on both social media and in the national press. The Daily Mail seems to be suggesting that the players stepped in to protect family members after there was a crush, but I'm sure the facts will come out. In which case, someone needs to explain why there was a crush at an all-seater stadium. However, I wasn't there so I'd only be speculating.
Incidentally, Salford's twitter also says

so I'd suggest that's a good idea.
And before we go off on a 'Salford fans are the scum of the earth' rant, I've had some good laughs with Salford supporters over the years, notably after our Wembley defeat in 2014. So lets remember that. |

You'll get all the usual comments of how nobodies seen them at a game before. They're football fans etc etc but the fact is they were at it at Odsal last season.
It's not just them we've seen it from fans of other clubs too in recent years. Time to stop just fining and start docking points. Was going to suggest clubs being forced to play behind closed doors but that's not really a punishment to Salford
