I have very mixed views.
Firstly, I think it needs to be said that the person doing most of the chasing in this scenario was Rangi Chase's agent. Through June and July he was offered to almost every SL club but all declined for various reasons. With Rangi wanting to stay in England, his options were very limited and Leigh was the best of very few options for him.
Havi said that, I really hope it works out for him. I loved watching him at Cas and his decision to move to a club run by an absolute imbecile and coached by someone completely out of their depth was a bad one, even if his bank balance says otherwise.
Unfortunately, Rangi always seems to be one of those who always thinks the grass is greener somewhere else very quickly and is perpetually looking for his next move. If he plays well, I fear it will be a short matter of time before he starts to think he wants to play at the top level again. I hope Leigh fans are clear that the man has no loyalty toward anyone.
Quotekobashi="kobashi"how are leigh under the cap?'"
Cap went up by £300k yesterday. Think that was why we were holding off on his signing despite it supposedly being a 'done deal' ages ago. It has obviously been in the pipeline for a while but needed to be made official that the cap was being raised before he could sign for Leigh.
