Quote richardviking="richardviking"Great effort. Hopefully this is the first of many Tests at the venue. I think Wembley's Four Nations double header a few years back (2011?) attracted only 42k. And of course that day England were playing Australia.'"
'Neutral' fans will turn out in number if they know they are getting top class teams, I'm not a fan of American Football for example, but if the NFL took a game to the North of England one day I'd be tempted out of curiosity as I'd know I'd be getting the real deal, the top players in their sport.
both England and New Zealand's reputation has increased massively over the last few years, as both have competed with Australia and the England team have looked more like a team rather than a disjointed team of individuals like they did say 10 years ago. We're also one of the few England sides winning games (the football team went unbeaten in qualifying, but their reputation will take a lot of time to repair) all helps when it comes to getting fans to games.
