Topic - problems with million pound game - now locked.

I clearly started a heated discussion because I found a certain poster's response to traveller community offensive (used a shooting emoticon), I wouldn't usually be so quick to get frustrated over what could potentially have been a rash or harmless message had it not been for two pertinent reasons:

1. This poster "Big Lads (sic) Mate" has recently also dismissed immigrants and refugees by claiming they should be sent back on a boat.

and

2. Looks very likely they are closely connected or related to a first team player

What has really irked me, however, is that particular board's moderator response to this - instead of questioning some seriously EDL mind sets on there - they've decided it's all "trolling and hysteria" pretty much burying it, I believe, rather than challenging potentially illegal and prejudice behaviours by their board members.

As the title says - get a look while you can - make up your own minds and I'll be interested how this is perceived on what I always thought was a more insightful and balanced board within rlfans.

I've read it. Massive overreaction from your part IMO to a throwaway smiley. I don't agree with his point of view, but it's not worth getting your knickers in a twist over an brainless smiley on a message board.

I don't understand what you think you'll achieve going on all guns blazing back at them (pun not intended).

I see where you are coming from - but to reiterate: the emoticon on its own would arguably not warrant an outcry (although I'm sure it could be argued that it was incendiary) but that I'd already recently read comments by this poster that were clearly I'll-judged/informed about immigration.

In terms of achieving anything - well, let's say, I was clearly getting nowhere on Wakefield board, but had hoped there might be some like-minded disgust on here, not just towards the number of offensive responses but more for the so-called reasons for locking original thread, which I believe were to halt the outpourings of their own members (and in all likelihood someone closely connected to the club) but instead of condemning those morally (legally?) on dubious ground - the blame seemed to be aimed at anyone (particularly myself) who simply wanted to challenge and confront prejudice - I was blatantly in the wrong place for this (as Bradford fans I'm sure will attest after their recent visit).

An emoticon of a hunter firing a gun - with the statement "ones (sic) enough" I see as an EDL mindset - why would anyone want to shoot someone you know little or nothing of other than the culture they belong to?
