| Had the great pleasure and good fortune to watch hull KR in every Wembley appearance since I was born. 80,81,86 & plate in 97.
One of the reasons Ive flown all the way from Oz for this one, couldn't break the streak!

Tremendous occasion, the old Wembley was far superior IMO.

Absolutely. Despite it's age there was nothing quite like the old Wembley. As an 11 year old at that final, my Dad watched me walk through to the seats and said my mouth just fell open, I could barely see across to the other side. The new Wembley just feels like everything does these days; overly corporate and lacking a certain je ne sais quoi.

Change 1965 for 1985 and that is exactly the same for me!

| 1969 Cas v Salford
As others have said the atmosphere at the old Wembley stadium was far superior to the new one

This one (1953).
www.britishpathe.com/video/wembl ... field-v-st
Overnight coachload of Liverpool City supporters (yes, there were enough to fill a coach), pre-motorways, probably reached London at about 8.00 a.m., then slept through a city tour on the coach.
Didn't see another until Sheffield v Wigan in 1998.
