Leave it late and you'll struggle to find decent priced accommodation, that will be the story in many cities we take this to, when we decided to go there was decent availability in several holiday parks and hotels a bit further out, if you thik like others you'll get a £19 Travelodge room once they get wind of an event like this then you need to think again.

I don't think that at all, and don't expect to stay anywhere for £19. People were complaining on this site a long time before the game that accommodation was either all gone or stupidly expensive. That made my mind up for me for a journey that was probably looking too far anyway.

If you can't get cheap and cheerful B&B in Blackpool in May within a short walk from the ground then there must be something wrong with you. Our hotel was only 5 mins walk away but on the route I would guess around 40% of the hotels and B&Bs had vacancies signs displayed and that is on the Saturday. Blackpool is on its arrse compared with old times and it's just not that busy. A couple of thousand people wanting B&B is literally nothing.

Well, me and a few friends have got our tickets for the upper tier on Saturday. Sat up there before for a NUFC game and it wasn't [itoo[/i bad, and for £12.50 you can't go wrong. Or can you?

I've sat there myself, nothing wrong with the view. People should give Newcastle a try, ground is in a great location next to loads of bars etc.

Not as good, only the bottom tiers are open but to be honest it's been a similar story for the last few years with the Sunday crowd being a lot lower than the Saturday. Still think it's a bizarre decision to end the weekend with Cas-Wakefield rather than Saints-Wire as surely a lot of the neutrals will head home early.

And the same people were complaining about Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester, you can't blame hotels for making money when they are busy. We could have got a three bedroom caravan not far away for £200 for the weekend only a few weeks ago so it wasn't that stupid. When the dates were announced there was hundreds of rooms at normal rates available.

Well I can't speak for "the same people" (whoever they are), only for myself. This will be the first MW I've missed, except the one in Edinburgh.

I travel further than many to watch RL matches; I don't need any lectures, thank you.

There are people who if the event was Free, free transport, free admittance, free hotel, free food, free drink et al, would complain, say it was too far to travel and not bother.
