If you take lyon points from kicks out of the equation how do they compare in space and providing scoring opertunities for their wing men

I like Moon but he's way short of Gidley and absolutely nowhere near Lyon!

Lyon is the best centre of the SL era imo, yes only 2 years but he was all class.

Moon is a very good SL player but not in the World Class category.

Lyon is one of the best players to have graced the superleague. Moon is a quality centre but he's not in Lyon's bracket.

There are several centres who have played for Leeds in the SL era who are arguably better than Moon, but behind Lyon: Godden, Blackmore, Carroll, Senior, Watkins... He's a better centre than Brett Delaney, Clinton Toopi, Chris McKenna and Chev Walker though

Lyon could also play halfback. He was all class in everything he did. But Moon is a very good play, hence why he's in my fantasy team.

Keith Senior at his best was easily as good as Lyon. Paul Newlove was also superb at his peak.

Those are the only two at Lyon's level in the Suoerleague era imo. Maybe Richie Barnett on his day too.

Loved watching both Newlove and Senior in their prime.

Senior maybe for a season or two.
Nowhere near as good over a long career at the top in the toughest League like Lyon has performed at.
Lyon set SL alight in his two seasons in exile.

Lyon was the best Saints centre since Meninga and one of the best players to play in SL.
Joel Moon is a quality player but not Lyon.

Somebody mentioned Paul Newlove, the best quickest feet for a big lad i've ever seen.
